Job Summary:

The TFA Training and Development Manager II is responsible for driving core training & learning program initiatives and supporting the development of the region's field engineers. The Training and Development Manager II performs a gap analysis of training & learning program needs, OJT, and competency programs to prepare employees for future assignments by partnering with the FieldCore Resource Management, and Human Resources departments. Manages employees in Field Engineering Program through training, OJT, competency, and qualification. The Training and Development Manager II ensures employees maintain the requisite skills that meet or exceed FieldCore and local industry standards, also maintains accurate certification records.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify region training gaps and partner with resource director and managers to identify the region training development plan for technical field advisors.
  • Manage training programs and development needs to prepare field engineers and technical field advisors for future assignments
  • Manage and be the primary point of contact for the field engineering program participants in the region. Develop program road map (training and OJT plans) for participants
  • Manage, and as required partner to develop competency profiles that meet the needs of the region.
  • Manage the training budget and drive cost reductions through innovation in training analysis and execution.
  • Partner with Field and Resource Operations, as well as all Regional Operations, to produce the training forecast requirements.
  • Provide the Region with reports and analytics to ensure resources meet the various regional, country and site-specific requirements.
  • Partner with the Global Resource Operations Director as well as the regional Resource Director to plan progressive career paths for employees including identifying available learning programs and plan OJT fulfillment needs for the region.
  • Review and analyze current legislative requirements, field performance results EHS metrics, and various feedback forms to gather information on training & learning programs' development needs
  • Validate and drive training and learning programs' needs to ensure specific legislative and site outage requirements are maintained.
  • Maintain final accountability for the execution of all internal and external training that is required of the region for Field Employees.
  • Partner with sourcing, as required, for third party training providers that can support specific legislative requirements.
  • Schedule leadership calls to collect feedback from teams and take action to improve training and learning programs and personnel development.
  • Manage the training and learning programs', seat allocation and OJT plans of field employees to ensure the best quality placement of candidates
  • Report and track training and learning programs' certification dates and manage re-certification process
  • Provide periodic reports to senior management which depict the current qualification status of all field employees
  • Collaborate with Resource Management and Human Resources on retention initiatives
  • Support training and learning programs' coordination as needed to meet specific outage requirements, forced outages or emergent projects
  • Travel may be required
  • May be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization's core values.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree with five years' experience in a field engineering, training/learning programs or resource management role preferred
  • 2+ years managing and developing employees
  • Industry certifications in engineering, project management or technical disciplines desired
  • Power/energy industry experience preferred
  • English proficiency required
