Job Description

Job Purpose To support Dato\' President\'s Office with translation tasks from both written and audio materials from one or more languages i.e. English to Mandarin & Bahasa Malaysia and vice versa with accurate meaning to the original text and intent. s 1. Translate economic, scientific, technical and other specialized documents, correspondence, memo, emails, conferences materials, meeting minutes and all the required documents from one language to other languages ie English to Mandarin & Bahasa Malaysia and vice versa 2. Translate information that is contextually accurate for both written and audio, into one or more other languages by ensuring its meaning and context are maintained, creates glossaries or term dictionaries, possesses knowledge of multiple languages 3. Translate, edit and proofread 4. Consulting with experts in a specialist field, or works with individual clients and corporations if required 5. Undertake special assignments, ad-hoc functions and related duties as and when required. Job Requirement:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma / Degree in Translations, Linguistics, Literature or equivalent with at least 7 to 10 years\' experience.
• Candidates who are certified and registered with the Malaysian Translators Association will be given preference
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia
• Able to produce high standard works on a consistent basis with good organizational and time management skills.
• PC literate and proficient in using all Microsoft Office applications i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with strong ability to work well with all level of staff
• A self-motivated and energetic person who can work under pressure
• Required Language (s) : English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Hokkien (added advantage)
