Role Purpose

The Transport Manager oversees all transport operations (Shunting and Distribution), including distribution, shunting, and linehaul activities for key customers. This role ensures operational efficiency, cost management, safety, and compliance with governance, QEHS, and internal audit standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management - Lead daily operations ensuring KPIs and service excellence. People Leadership - Manage and develop the operations team and drivers. Financial & Cost Control - Monitor P&L, cost drivers, and budget discipline. Vendor & Subcontractor Management - Evaluate, engage, and monitor transporter performance and rates. Customer & Stakeholder Engagement - Serve as main liaison for key customers and internal teams. Governance, QEHS & Internal Audit - Uphold governance, QEHS, and audit compliance across all operations. Reporting & Continuous Improvement - Lead performance reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field. 5-8 years' experience in transport/logistics operations with managerial exposure. Strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. Knowledge of governance, QEHS, and internal audit frameworks. Proficient in transport systems (TMS), telematics, and MS Office.

Pay: RM7,500.00 - RM8,200.00 per month
