Job Overview

The

Transport Planner

will be responsible for planning and coordinating transportation schedules, ensuring timely delivery of temperature-controlled goods, and maintaining effective communication between drivers, customers, and internal teams. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth daily operations through effective fleet management, maintenance coordination, and delivery planning.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and monitor daily transport routes for cold chain deliveries. Liaise with customers on delivery orders, schedules, and specific requirements. Assign drivers and ensure adherence to planned routes and delivery timelines. Prepare and update transport schedules, making real-time adjustments when needed. Maintain strong communication with drivers to manage delays and route changes. Track truck utilization, delivery performance, and fleet availability. Schedule trucks for service and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. Coordinate with the workshop team on vehicle repairs and maintenance planning. Continuously review and improve transport planning and scheduling processes. Support management in reporting transport performance and operational data.

What We're Looking For

Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, or equivalent. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in transport planning or fleet coordination. Experience in cold chain logistics is an added advantage. Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills. Responsive, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with GPS or transport management systems.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
