  • Degree or professional qualification in Food & Beverage, Culinary, Hospitality or other relevant disciplines.
  • At least 10 years of experience in relevant industry with proven results from personal involvement in achieving profitability through generating sales revenue, upholding business standards and controlling expenses.
  • Knowledgeable in the entire business process of operating and managing casual dining chain restaurants, how restaurant P&L impacts top-line growth and bottom-line target.
  • Sound knowledge in accounting principles and practices, planning and forecasting, cost management, people management, workplace safety, food hygiene and halal compliance.
  • Business savvy with constantly connected to industry trends, aware of economic situation, understand competitive landscape, operations and business strategy related to the industry.
  • Good presentation, verbal & written communication in English, negotiation and interpersonal skills to put forward analysis, plans and/or ideas in a convincing and impactful manner.
  • Strong leadership qualities to coach, lead, communicate and motivate team towards meeting business goals as well as having excellent interpersonal skills to interact and maintain good relationships with people.
  • Able to use analytical approaches including benchmarking and other statistical tools to perform analysis, identify problems, solve problems and make decisions.
  • Independent, enthusiastic, good planning ability, well-organized, creative, resourceful and result-oriented person who is resilient to challenges and adaptable to fast paced environment.
  • Required to travel within West Malaysia frequently for outlet visitation.
Tanggungjawab
  • Accountable for overall restaurant operations, profitability, brand image, customer satisfaction and business standards and compliance for corporate-owned outlets in West Malaysia.
  • Undertake business expansion of existing brands/concepts as well as development and grow of new brand/ concept in West Malaysia market.
  • Develop business strategies such as advertising & promotions initiatives, incentive & reward plans, new outlets opening, remodelling, refurbishment and equipment upgrade in existing outlets, etc with 1 to 3 years\' time horizon, using full P&L data and SWOT analysis to improve financial performance.
  • Identify, evaluate and recommend prospective market, new products or services within respective market area within West Malaysia, including strategic market development and penetration.
  • Project budget accurately by developing realistic sales turnover, food cost, labour cost, operating expenses for restaurant operations and control all P&L line items.
  • Foster strategic partnerships with vendors, suppliers, service providers and local authorities to develop West Malaysia business and Brand building opportunities.
  • Participate in development of marketing and business plans, strategy implementation, in charge and control the business development budget.
  • Accountable for creating conducive work environment while working shoulder-to-shoulder with Heads of Department in Corporate Office, Operations team and C-Level to create and accomplish business objectives.
  • Build positive business relationships, provide strategic leadership and management capabilities to operations team in supporting business growth and maximizing long-term sales and profit potential.
  • Monitor manpower utilization according to labour budget, performance standards are in place and observed across operations, coach and lead the Area Manager to achieve business expectations.
  • Plan and recommend people policies, development programs, recognition and reward systems that drive employees\' motivation and engagement to enhance productivity and retention.
  • Support Country Manager on co-ordination, execution and alignment of operations matters at Company level.
  • Stand in as overall operations head in the absence of Country Manager or as and when required.
