JOB DESCRIPTION
Merchandiser working for a company that supplies products to Astro Goshop TV Shopping platform in Malaysia focusing on Home Appliances/Cookware categories.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To assist in developing product strategy for Home Appliances/Cookware category to fit the entire year and in conjunction with seasonal and holiday events as well as developing optimum product-mix
2. To negotiate with suppliers and manage suppliers
3. To identify target segment and develop propositions to position products to the target segment
4. Regularly conduct research and intelligence gathering to obtain information on the retail market, consumer trend, taste and preferences and to gather feedback from customers of home shopping channels
5.Prepare quotations and ensure detailed information including product specifications are prepared in accordance to buyers or clients requirements
REQUIREMENTS
1.Preferably 2 year(s) of working experience in product planning or Sales and Marketing or assisting merchandising head in picking the right products or other related field is required for this position.
2.Preferably specializing in Merchandising or equivalent.
3.Understanding of marketing and consumer behavior
