PR & Media Management for Businesses, Enablers and Group-wide initiatives to maintain/enhance Group\'s brand value
Assists CIMB HGBC/HGCC on special projects to further enhance the Group\'s external corporate positioning.
Training and coaching of new staff, TCBians and interns
Job Responsibilities
PR & Media Relations * Implement communications strategy for CIMB Group and its businesses/ business enablers.
Help develop, implement and manage effective communication plans (e.g., key messages and proof points) and media-related activities to support CIMB Group\'s Businesses/Business Enablers, in cooperation with them and their official partners.
Research, draft, edit and prepare communication packs and/or press kits for the Group (e.g., press releases, FAQs, presentation decks etc).
Help manage communications with internal/external stakeholders (e.g.media) for CIMB Group.
Help manage issues and crisis communications for the Group.
Perform media monitoring on a daily basis including weekends and post-assignments.
Ensure all media monitoring services (vendor) are fulfilled as specified in Service Level Agreement
Maintain a good working relationship/continually engage with the media
Any other responsibilities/tasks as assigned by the Management from time to time.
Special Projects * Help implement the PR strategy for Special Projects, including pitching interviews and looking out for non-traditional opportunities to publicise CIMB\'s products and services through its sponsored events.
Work with Businesses/Business Enablers to develop key messages to support an effective PR and/or media engagement plan.
Lead on 2 - 3 Special Projects per year as stipulated by HGBC/HGCC
Resource & Talent Management * Train new staff, TCBians and interns on daily media monitoring and preparation of daily media report.
Guide new staff on various aspects of media relations and media engagement.
Job Requirements
Degree in Communications/Media/PR or any related field from a reputable University
Minimum 10 years working experience
Communications, media or related fields an added advantage
Good understanding of strategic communications principles and processes
Understanding of the workings of broadcast, print and digital media
Attention to detail is a must
Excellent communication skills, especially writing and editing skills
Strategic planning and organising skills
Understanding of banking products and services is a plus
Good communications (written and spoken) and interpersonal skills
Good networking - Ability to network with the media and facilitate inter-division/department/unit working relationships locally and regionally
