JOB PURPOSE The Vice President of Operations provides leadership and strategic vision for most of the business operation functions including strategic property & facilities management, operational excellence, risk management, legal and administration across the multifamily portfolio of properties under Taylor\'s Education Group and associated entities. Primarily, the Incumbent is responsible to define and implement operations strategy, structure and processes to increase quality, productivity and stakeholders\' satisfaction aside from overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the organisation. Reporting directly to the President, the VP of Operations works alongside other Heads of Departments in charting and realising the organisational\'s goals and business objectives. OUTCOME MEASUREMENTS Drive strategic initiatives which will result in long-term cost savings and operational efficiency improvement. Improve on the existing Policies and Procedures in line with industry best practices adaptable to organisational\'s settings. Formalise an effective risk management, control and compliance program. Provide support and facilitation for the smooth operations of other business functions which translate into highly rated stakeholders\' satisfaction. Build and nurture high-performing team through effective coaching and leadership. KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Property & Facilities Management Collaborates with senior leadership team to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems. Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution. Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management. Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organization\'s business plan and vision. Lead in the preparation of yearly departmental budget with the objective to maximise property value by implementing proper operating and capital expenditure control system. Operational Excellence Define operational metrics that leads towards achieving organization wide strategic goals. Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials. Share the change mindset across the organization. Improve overall staff and customer satisfaction rate. Risk Management, Legal and Compliance Assist respective departments in documenting the controls related to all relevant risk, compliance with laws and regulations, established compliance programs, internal controls and operational processes. Perform risk assessments and recommend level of tolerance for risk. Review our current compliance policies and procedures to identify areas of improvement. Ensure our organisation remains fully compliant with relevant laws and regulations. Administration Responsible for the development and implementation of all administrative policies and procedures. Overseeing training and development of staff. Managing the organisation\'s human resources tasks as assigned by the President. Manage the company\'s IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and telecommunications systems by liaising with Taylor\'s ICT division. Ensure that the company\'s insurance coverage is adequate and up to date. Pleasant personality Dedicated and trustworthy Diligent and self-motivated Upholds organizational values Has a strong sense of responsibility MINIMUM QUALIFICATION Master/Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering/ Facilities Management/ Computer Science/ Business or equivalent with minimum of 15 years of relevant working experience RELATED EXPERIENCE Solid background of experience and an impressive track record of innovation and attainment of goals in complex organizations, especially in a global enterprise environment and matrix organizations. Experience in directing and managing within a dynamic and challenging environment, working inclusively through people in a multi-cultural environment to achieve shared objectives.
