Job Brief:

We are actively seeking a talented and dynamic Video Editor to join our Sales and Marketing team. As a Video Editor, you will play a pivotal role in crafting visually captivating content that engages and inspires our target audience, particularly the Mandarin-speaking audience, across various digital platforms. From concept development to post-production, this challenging role involves transforming marketing initiatives into compelling stories using creative editing techniques, staying at the forefront of industry trends, including the integration of AI in video editing, is crucial for success in this role. Your contributions will not only shape our brand's digital presence but also ensure high viewer rates across different digital platforms.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position plays a crucial part in our digital marketing strategy, with a primary focus on crafting and implementing creative concepts tailored for the Mandarin-speaking audience. The position canters on the entire video editing workflow, ensuring the delivery of high-quality content while meeting tight deadlines that resonates with the target audience while aligning with marketing objectives. It demands not only excellent video editing skills but also a proficiency in Mandarin, crucial for effectively engaging the desired audience. Beyond video editing expertise, the position involves proactively exploring the latest tools and technology including AI-driven editing techniques and software to continuously elevate our video content and stay at the forefront of industry trends.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop creative concepts aligned with digital marketing objectives to produce visually compelling videos for Facebook and other social media platforms, targeting the Mandarin-speaking audience. Handle the complete video editing workflow, from raw footage to post-production, including sequencing, trimming, music, dialogue, graphics, and subtitles. Establish dynamic storytelling techniques to captivate and retain the audience's attention. Provide support and advice on script content to ensure alignment with video production best practices. Stay updated on the latest video editing tools, software, and platforms, incorporating innovative techniques, AI integration, transitions, effects, and animations. Organize raw and edited video files for easy accessibility by relevant personnel. Assist in video shooting and create content to support the sales and marketing team. Contribute to company branding activities by providing graphic design and video clips for cross-functional collaboration. Demonstrate the ability to work within tight schedules, meeting deadlines without compromising quality. Carry out, as and when required, any additional tasks and responsibilities which are reasonably compatible with this job description and objectives.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Cinematography, Mass Communication, Digital Media or a related field. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in video editing and post-production. Proven expertise with digital technology and essential editing software (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, etc.). Strong portfolio demonstrating a proven track record in video editing. Experience in video shooting or related fields is an added advantage. Excellent Mandarin communication skills are a must. Creative, open-minded, attention to detail with strong storytelling skills. Excellent communication, project management, organization, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Preferably with a background in graphics design industry and sense of new media trends. Demonstrated creativity and innovation to support corporate branding initiatives. Ability to work independently or collaboratively with a team to meet deadlines.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
