About the job:

Involve Media is a media network with the aim of helping consumers navigate through the sea of options while shopping online, to find the best product that fits their needs. One of our biggest media, ProductNation, is one of the biggest product recommendation content platforms in Southeast Asia.

To help us support our growing media platform, we are seeking a talented Video Editor to join our team!

You will be required to make full use of your creative knowledge to assemble recorded footage into a finished project that matches our vision and is suitable for publishing on various platforms. Ultimately, as a Video Editor, you should be able to bring visuals together in order to tell a cohesive story.

As our presence grows in terms of audience and business, this role requires quick-thinking, creativity as well as a keen ability to analyse data in order to improve future content.

Your responsibilities:

• Assembling and editing footage for the ProductNation channels in a creative and engaging manner
• Take a brief to grasp production team\'s needs and specifications
• Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes\' value and contribution to continuity
• Understanding of music selection, dialogues, graphical overlays and effects
• Create rough drafts and final cuts
• Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
• Consult with production team along the way
• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry\'s best
• practices to maximise efficiency.
• Ability to operate under tight deadlines with quick turnaround times

We want you if you have:

• Minimum 1-year work experience as a Video Editor
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin fluency is a plus
• Solid experience with the video editing software - Adobe Premiere Pro
• Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
• Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
• Familiarity with graphical overlays, typography and visuals
• Creative mind and storytelling skills
