Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Digital, Tech and Content department, the Video Editor will work closely with the Content Manager and Content Creators to execute and contribute ideas for video content to be used across various digital platforms. Responsible for the output of video content and assisting the production process to ensure that the content delivered is of the highest possible quality, meeting the brand requirements and in line with the direction of the Digital, Technology and Content Department.

This person must be a go-getter that is passionate about creating quality content with a desire to constantly learn and a curiosity to explore the digital landscape for current/upcoming trends. This person needs to understand social media platforms, post-production workflows and technologies but most importantly wants to create work that stands out.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute all required post-production tasks including video, audio, color correction and grading
• Practice quality control of all deliverables while maintaining excellent communication with the production team
• Pay attention to ensure all content is on brand and meets brand requirements
• Archiving RAW and completed projects according to given standards
• Manage and work across multiple projects to reach assigned deadlines
• Brainstorming and pitching video related content solutions
• Problem solve and offer creative solutions during post-production
• Keep up to date with the ever-shifting social media landscape & digital mediums
• Maintain and innovate on processes
• Maintain the organizations equipment, ensuring that the equipment stays in reliable condition; this position is also responsible for researching and suggesting upgrades/purchases when needed
• Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

MINIMUM ACADEMIC / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

A Diploma or Bachelor\'s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Broadcasting, Advertising, Film and Television or anything related

RELATED EXPERIENCE

A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in post-production or a strong creative portfolio

COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)

• Proficient in Adobe Premiere and/with basic knowledge of After Effects
• Having abilities in Photoshop, Illustrator and Lightroom is a bonus
• Major plus points for an understanding in 3D
• Strong knowledge in storytelling and understanding of the post-production process
• Ability to execute post-production tasks including video/audio editing, color grading, and basic motion graphics
• Excellent project management and prioritization skills with strong attention to detail, and high-quality work ethic
• Must be able to problem-solve and internalize feedback to incorporate into future projects.
• Ability to operate under deadline and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
• Can work both independently and as a collaborative team player
• Highly self-motivated and have experience working in a fast paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Demonstrate ability to learn and adapt quickly with a strong desire to expand his/her skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data
• Must have a basic understanding of Social Media platforms
• Experience in photography/videography is a plus
