Job Responsibilities : The VA (Visiting Agents) / VE (Visiting Engineers) are agents of the Management Board of company and are tasked to visit plantation (Estate & Mill) within the Group and outside Group where necessary. They are to provide an independent, unbiased and objective report on the current status of the plantation management in respect to the field condition and agricultural standards, effectiveness of operating procedures including safety practices and security control, nursery practices, crop / product potential, quality and cost control as well as the general administrative management of the establishment. The report shall also contain an analysis of variances against the targets set both on production and cost. It is also to verify what have been achieved are reflective of the accounts and monthly reports. The report shall also highlight any shortcomings observed in the course of their inspection and this shall include any deviation of the company policies or breach of prevailing laws and regulations of either government or statutory organizations of which may be threatening to environmental issues and social harmony. This is also to safeguard the image and reputation of the company. VA / VE shall audit and review to ensure that all operations are conforming to the standard operating procedures (SOP) of the company. VA/VEs shall promote and emphasize that the best practices are to be implemented in line with the Agriculture Policy Manual (APM) as well as the criteria set by the RSPO in order to uphold the principle of sustainable palm oil. VA / VE shall act as coach to teach and provide guidance to the staff and supervisory workers on the plantations. They shall endeavor to transfer their technical knowledge and know-how to improve the people\'s basic plantation management capability and skill. The VA / VE shall provide the necessary motivation to enhance the training and learning process. In order to encourage a healthy, productive and stable workforce, the VA / VE shall inspect the infrastructure and amenity that have been provided in the emplacements of the staff and workers and also to check that the basic cleanliness and hygiene are being given due attention. Job Requirement : Candidate must possess at least Diploma, Bachelor\'s Degree, Master\'s Degree in Agriculture Science or equivalent. At least 20 - 25 years of working experience in the Oil Palm Plantation industry is required for this position of which at least 8 years should be in the senior management capacity. Proficient in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. Physically fit to conduct extensive field walk visits. Indonesia working experience will be an added advantage. Experience in conducting feasibility studies for property acquisition. Good analytical and business acumen skills. Willing and able to travel frequently.
