Performing and Visual Arts Teaching Assistant is responsible for:

• All duty of care responsibilities stated in the Standard of Procedures (S.O.P)
• All legal responsibilities as per the S.O.P.
• Presenting a professional and committed staff member full of positivity
• Establishing an effective and responsive classroom environment where children are active participants
• Maintaining a positive learning environment
• Observe children at play in order to assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of a child centered curriculum for both the indoor and outdoor learning environments
• Conduct small group learning experiences
• Supports the positive development of children\xe2\x80\x99s social competencies
• Routinely take care of children
• Routinely maintain hygiene within the learning environment
• Maintain positive relationships with all children\xe2\x80\x99s families
• Maintenance of material, resources, and equipment in classroom
• Professional documentation and display of children\xe2\x80\x99s work
• Maintain positive classroom relationships where all members of the class are respected and valued
• Pro-actively assist and support all school events and functions
• Work as active and participatory team member
• Active participation and attendance of staff meetings
• Compulsory participation in ongoing professional development
• Participate in the Professional Development of necessary health check skills

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
