Job Description

Objective Merchandising assistants contribute ideas and execute plans as needed, typically spend time out on the sales floor checking on displays or getting a feel for the overall effectiveness of merchandise positioning. Solving problems when unforeseen circumstances arise. Knowing (or being willing to learn) about best practices in the industry, such as featuring new arrivals in the front window of the store as a way to lure in shoppers. Exhibiting creativity and a \xe2\x80\x9cgood eye\xe2\x80\x9d for visual presentation Visual Merchandising Assistant Job Duties:

• Develop market specific strategies for various retail and visual merchandising operations and develop long and short term objectives.
• Assist to develop various strategies for improvement of store ambience and display various seasonal items.
• Prepare and execute visual merchandising signage and provide solutions to specific marketing requirement and assist Marketing department in all promotional events.
• Coordinate with visual merchandising team and analyze zone set up requirement for individual store category.
• Work with planning and operations department and develop ways to increase inventory through merchandising store capacity and load.
• Develop visual presentations to increase sales through visual impact.
• Monitor competitors visual merchandising techniques and incorporate effective techniques in business.
• Prepare and maintain a database of dates for all retail and market releases of product and services.
• Monitor customer profile and store size and identify appropriate visual presentation for various product categories.
• Develop and implement visual merchandising strategies for all marketed items.
• Organize training workshops for visual merchandising and assist in setting up of on-floor training for same.
• Evaluate all retail information, identify risks and prepare appropriate strategies to promote sales.
• Participate in various trade shows and live events.

Visual Merchandising Assistant Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as a visual merchandiser or assistant
• Demonstrable visual design skills with a strong retail merchandising portfolio
• Exhibiting creativity and a \xe2\x80\x9cgood eye\xe2\x80\x9d for visual presentation
• Solid experience in field visual merchandising, including window displays, signs, interior displays and space utilisation
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, or other visual design tools
• Knowledge of current visual merchandising trends and best practices
• Creative and innovative thinker
• Ability to analyze sales merchandising reports and survey results
• Degree in visual merchandising, fashion merchandising, exhibition design, visual communications or similar
• Leadership skills and ability manage staff
• Strong decision making and problem solving skills

Job Type: Permanent Salary: RM2,100.00 - RM4,500.00 per month Benefits:
