We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of VP - HR Consulting.
Business: HR BP DBS
Principal Responsibility
As a HR Consultant you will be accountable for managing the successful delivery of people projects and initiatives that support the business strategy set out in the strategic people plans. You will work closely with Business leaders, HR Business Partners, and specialists to help design as well as deliver pragmatic solutions to solve business problems, framing complex challenges by leveraging internal and external expertise to deliver solutions that have measurable impact for our business either globally or within country adding commercial value through people projects.
The HR Consultant role is based in Malaysia serving country and regional requirements for GSC Malaysia across different Lines of Businesses. The Role sits within the DBS GSC HTC team reporting functionally to the Global Head of HR Consulting DBS GSC Tech based in London and to the Head of HR Malaysia for Entity Reporting.
Your primary focus will be in shaping & implementing effective HR strategic initiatives that will optimize our people goals & objectives through;
\xc2\xb7 Enable achievement of People priorities while aligning with business goals
\xc2\xb7 Deliver strategic, tailored HR solutions with deep understanding of leadership, talent & culture in their respective specialties which includes implementation and successful embedment of projects and solutions
\xc2\xb7 Manage programme delivery proactively balancing scope, schedule, interdependencies, budget and risks
\xc2\xb7 Be able to provide oversight to how people initiatives align to the Business Strategy and relevant global/ country business/functional People Plans
\xc2\xb7 Be responsible for effective programme controls and procedures within their given initiatives
\xc2\xb7 Customer centric \xe2\x80\x93 Ability to effectively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve mutual successes
\xc2\xb7 Report progress, issues, dependencies and risks to the relevant governance forum and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery
\xc2\xb7 Manage a team and/or multi discipline teams if appropriate to meet performance targets aligned to programme objectives and role-model desired behaviours

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
Requirements
\xc2\xb7 Experience in transformation/change and/or project management roles
\xc2\xb7 Experience/in-depth knowledge of HR management principles, functions, methods & best practices
\xc2\xb7 Relevant HR and/or project management qualifications
\xc2\xb7 Role model and ambassador for HSBC behaviours, and the ability to deal assertively but sensitively with internal and external customers across a matrix environment
\xc2\xb7 Strict adherence to the requirements of confidentiality. Discretion and integrity essential
\xc2\xb7 Strong business acumen and ability to align HR Strategies with business goals, working effectively in an agile manner when managing competing priorities
\xc2\xb7 Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet peak demands with tenacity
