Waiters job description (Location:Penang) Job brief We are looking for a skilled Waiters to take orders and deliver food and beverages to our customers. Waiters responsibilities include: \xc2\xb7 Providing excellent wait service to ensure satisfaction \xc2\xb7 Taking customer orders and delivering food and beverages \xc2\xb7 Making menu recommendations, answering questions and sharing additional information with restaurant patrons Responsibilities \xc2\xb7 Greet and escort customers to their tables \xc2\xb7 Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies) \xc2\xb7 Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses \xc2\xb7 Inform customers about the day\xe2\x80\x99s specials \xc2\xb7 Offer menu recommendations upon request \xc2\xb7 Up-sell additional products when appropriate \xc2\xb7 Take accurate food and drinks orders, using internal system \xc2\xb7 Check customers\xe2\x80\x99 IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages \xc2\xb7 Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff \xc2\xb7 Serve food and drink orders \xc2\xb7 Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems \xc2\xb7 Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area \xc2\xb7 Deliver checks and collect bill payments \xc2\xb7 Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning \xc2\xb7 Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties) \xc2\xb7 Follow all relevant health department regulations \xc2\xb7 Provide excellent customer service to guests Requirements and skills \xc2\xb7 Proven work experience as a Waiter \xc2\xb7 Hands-on experience with cash register and ordering information system \xc2\xb7 Basic math skills \xc2\xb7 Attentiveness and patience for customers \xc2\xb7 Excellent presentation skills \xc2\xb7 Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment \xc2\xb7 Active listening and effective communication skills \xc2\xb7 Team spirit \xc2\xb7 Flexibility to work in shifts \xc2\xb7 High school diploma; food safety training is a plus Job Type: Full-time Pay: From RM2,000.00 per month Benefits:
