About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur / within the Food & Beverage Department in Kuala Lumpur, the Waiter/Waitress responsibilities include greeting and serving our guests, providing detailed information on menus, multi-tasking various front-of-the-house duties in a fast-paced environment. The Waiter/Waitress reports to the Restaurant Manager / Assistant Restaurant Manager.

As Waiter/Waitress, you will be responsible for the following duties:

Ensure that the standards of Food and Beverage service are maintained Anticipate guest needs, as to where guests will never have to ask for anything Report deficiencies or breakage of operational equipment to the Assistant Managers Increase the average food and beverage check and promote sales Monitor and supervise small VIP functions not handled by the Banquet Department Ensure that the orders are delivered at the proper temperature

As Waiter/Waitress, we expect from you

Diploma/Certificate in Hotel Management or Business Administration preferred. Good communication skills whether verbal, written or non-verbal. Extensive knowledge of food and beverage in order to service and up sell our product, including liquors and cocktails
