Job Description

As a waiter, you will be an essential part of creating a memorable dining experience for our guests. You will be the face of our establishment, providing exceptional service and ensuring that our guests feel welcome and comfortable. Your duties will include taking orders, serving food and drinks, and responding to guest requests in a timely and courteous manner. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized dining area, as well as assisting with other tasks as needed to ensure the smooth operation of our establishment.

• Deliver food from kitchen to the guest ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
• Assist in the breakdown, cleaning and set-up of buffets and food stations.
• Works as per instructions from the immediate Supervisor and as per duty shifts.
• Ensures proper appearance (condition of uniforms) and grooming whilst on duty.
• Works (hands-on) towards the timely set up of the assigned Food & Beverage outlet, according to the meal settings and in line with the opening hours.
• Handles the guest greeting upon arrival and their seating through the hostess.
• Maintains a professional/friendly, yet discreet relationship with the guests
• Familiarize with all menus, promotions, and other relevant issues concerning restaurant.
• Reports cleanliness and maintenance issues to the immediate Supervisor.
• Handles guest complaints as per instructions or consults the immediate Supervisor.
• Does all mis-en-place work according to the whole day service requirements.
• Attends all regular departmental briefings and contributes to an open communication within the assigned team.
• To ensure that a check is made and recorded in the POS system for every food & beverage sale in the outlet.
• To open a guest check in the POS system, punching orders, splitting, and transferring tables, settling checks as cash, room charge, credit card or city ledger

Job Requirements

• Fresh graduates from Hotel Management School or SPM Leavers are encouraged to apply
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to communicate fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia and able to work with all levels of staff.
• A good team player and strive to have a career in the hospitality industry
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and Public Holidays
• Multiple locations available: Tioman Island & Kuala Lumpur
