The company Our client is an innovative and dynamic logistics solutions provider with more than 4000 employees across more than 90 countries and being supported by hundreds of agents globally. The company provides airfreight, sea freight, customs brokerage, local transportation, warehousing, and distribution services. They provide logistics and supply chain solutions to aerospace, automotive, chemical, oil & gas, wine and spirits, and manufacturing industries. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that all goods, services, and materials received into the company are processed on a daily and timely manner, from receipt at goods inwards through to stores, out into production, from production to the finished goods stores and then into dispatch. The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible to:

  • Ensure that all goods/materials/packages delivered to the company are unloaded correctly and in line with the company\xe2\x80\x99s procedures and practices.
  • Work in goods inwards by ensuring that all goods received are receipted daily using the company\xe2\x80\x99s database and procedures.
  • Ensure that goods received are correct to delivery notes, checking deliveries upon receipt and signing for the correct number of parcels being delivered.
  • Interpret supplier notes, certificates of conformity and to verify the advised quantity of goods before goods receiving.
  • Ensure KANBAN bins are regularly reviewed and replenished in accordance with the production needs and recorded within C1 database in line with agreed procedures.
  • Performs cycle counts in accordance with cycle count procedures.
  • Help internal customers with their queries and collection of their parcels.
  • Ensure that all goods once receipted are correctly labelled before they go onto stores.
  • Ensure that all documentation is filed correctly daily.
  • Always keep the goods in area clean and tidy.
  • Assist with store management and dispatch functions when required.
  • Support the transportation of goods around the company when required.
  • Ensure to always comply with Health and Safety rules.
  • Other ad-hoc duties assigned by the supervisor.
The requirements
  • STPM / Diploma level or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of working experience in stores/goods inward environment.
  • Counterbalance Forklift License (current) and it involves heavy lifting.
  • Good knowledge of computer software packages, i.e., Windows, Database system (C1).
  • Good communication skills, team player and legible handwriting.
  • Possessed a methodical and practical approach to work.
  • Willing to learn companies database system.
