RESPONSIBILITIES

A Warehouse Assistant plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of a warehouse. Their responsibilities and functions typically include:

1.

Receiving and Processing Stock

:

- Unloading deliveries from trucks. - Checking and verifying incoming goods against purchase orders. - Inspecting items for damage or discrepancies. - Storing items in the correct location within the warehouse. - Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and equipment.
2.

Inventory Management

:

Keeping accurate records of stock levels. Conducting regular inventory counts. Updating inventory systems to reflect accurate stock levels.
3.

Order Fulfilment:

Picking and packing orders for shipment. Ensuring orders are packed correctly and securely. Labelling and preparing packages for dispatch. Coordinating with shipping companies or drivers for deliveries.
4.

Warehouse Organization

:

Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse. Ensuring aisles, shelves, and storage areas are tidy and accessible. Organizing stock in a logical and efficient manner.
5.

Equipment Operation

:

Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Performing routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
6.

Health and Safety Compliance

:

Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines. Reporting any safety hazards or incidents. Using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

7. Communication and Coordination:

Coordinating with other departments, such as procurement, sales, and logistics. Communicating any issues or delay in stock or order processing.

REQUIREMENTS

Physical Stamina: Must be able to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods. Attention to Detail: Accurate in managing inventory and fulfilling orders. Organization: Keep the warehouse tidy and manage stock efficiently. Communication: Clear communication with team members and other departments. Technical Skills: Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and equipment, including

forklift

and

reach truck handling

. Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve issues related to stock management and order processing. Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety regulations and practices.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
