Job Responsibility Oversee Warehouse/Store Activities Ensure every shipment arrives on time Manage purchasing orders for incoming supplies. Monitor and oversee outgoing and incoming shipping activities to verify items are shipping to the correct location and in good condition. Make sure items are correctly posted, that correct charges are applied, and that shipments are moved from shipping points to storage areas, and also resolve issues with shipping orders. Ensure the accuracy of inventory and shipments. Identify operations needing development and institute innovations to adjust current work practices and procedures. Consult and organize activities with other teams and departments. Inspect Loading Operations Responsible for inspecting every aspect of the loading operations to make sure they follow warehouse and shipping specifications and to ensure proper use of warehouse space. Control and organize storage and inventory space. Manage Shipping Orders and Invoices Reads all shipping notices, orders, invoices, and other documents to manage priorities and ensure that the correct shipping methods are used. They also make sure shipping records are accurately stored in the database. Prepare, pack, schedule, and route orders for delivery. Maintain Warehouse Safety & Cleanliness Maintains a clean and safe working environment. This can include establishing safety protocols as well as conducting periodic inspections of facilities and machinery to prevent accidents and other hazardous situations. If an accident occurs, the Warehouse/Store Supervisor also gathers data and prepares an incident report. Establish Policies and Procedures Support department activities by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures within their department. They determine the best practices for the intake, transportation, and storage of materials, and instruct staff members on changes to these procedures, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, safety, and performance by improving or replacing procedures that are not working or reliably followed. Implement new methods, processes and improvements. Inventory Reconciliation Conduct regular inventory reconciliation to ensure adequate supplies to meet the goals. They report to management on damaged goods and any discrepancies with inventory. Participate of Monthly Stock Count and Annual Stock Take. Maintain Warehouse Reports Support warehouse-wide activities by maintaining accurate and updated records. These records can include shipping manifests, reports on day-to-day warehouse activities, and incident logs. Maintain records, utilize specialized reports and document relevant information to calculate warehouse ranks. Provides these reports to management or other warehouse personnel to aid in decision-making and identify areas for improvement. They may also consult these records to determine the overall efficiency of their department. Job Requirements Qualifications And Education Requirements High School Min 2 years in similar capacity. Preferred Skills Warehouse/Store Supervisor to manage, stock, and prepare large amounts of inventory on a daily basis, which requires them to be detail-oriented professionals who can juggle multiple tasks while maintaining safety standards.
