Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in warehouse operations or a similar supervisory role.
• Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., WMS, ERP).
• Experience in a fast-paced or high-volume environment.
• Proficiency in warehouse management software and inventory systems.
• Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Knowledge of safety and compliance standards related to warehousing.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Experience in training, mentoring, and evaluating staff.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams (logistics, sales, etc.) and external vendors.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle heavy items.
• Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.
• Willingness to work in varied conditions.
• Forklift operation certification.
• Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) training or certification.
• Six Sigma or Lean Warehousing certification (for advanced roles).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure.
• Customer service orientation for addressing client concerns related to warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
• Organize and maintain warehouse layout for efficiency and safety.
• Manage, train, and motivate warehouse staff.
• Assign tasks and monitor team performance to meet operational goals.
• Address and resolve staff issues promptly.
• Enforce safety regulations and ensure staff adherence to protocols.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain a clean, hazard-free environment.
• Comply with company policies and applicable laws.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement for replenishments.
• Handle damaged or defective goods and process returns.
• Implement systems to minimize loss and waste.
• Prepare and present reports on warehouse activities, such as shipping, receiving, and inventory levels.
• Communicate with other departments, including logistics, purchasing, and sales, to ensure smooth operations.
• Address operational challenges such as delays, shortages, or discrepancies.
• Identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency.
