We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Wealth and Personal Banking team in the role of Insurance Specialist working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets. Principal Responsibilities: The role is a branch based customer facing role, primarily focusing on generating revenue by meeting customer insurance needs where required. Client focus and a broad understanding of the fundamentals of financial planning and insurance products are essential and critical for the role. The role holder has a responsibility to acquire, cross sell and retain a protection portfolio of the customers, working with the broader branch and business team to ensure achievement of the business performance measures and plan (as defined by WPB). The role holder is accountable for the performance of his/her portfolio and needs to ensure it is effectively run managing to the Target Operating Model (TOM) as defined by Group. Creating and maintaining an environment where you and the wider Branch team maximize performance in achieving WPB business objectives whilst providing the highest quality service. Understanding and adhering to local and global compliance requirements are very critical. In delivering the business objectives the role holder must also maintain the levels of operational integrity required by HSBC and adhere to the Business Principles and Values of HSBC. Listed below are the outcomes performed by this role that directly align with key business goals. All performance should be in support of achieving these outcomes: Delivering excellent service. Supporting the branch network. Engaging and discovering customer insurance needs. Deepening customer relationships with the bank by providing insurance solutions that meeting customer needs. Assisting line manager to uplift teammates\' selling skill and to facilitate daily management tasks when needed. Protecting the bank - through vigilance against fraud, knowing your customer, adhering to regulations and policies and minimizing operational risk. Requirements Requirements: Influencing and client-oriented communication skills. Excellent relationship management skills. Customer driven with a strong focus on quality of service. Professional and regulatory qualifications as required by market. Understanding of Group Wealth Strategy and the ability to plan own activities accordingly.
