Welder Cum Fitter

Job Description
Role Purpose:
To assemble, align, and weld structural or mechanical components according to drawings and work instructions. The Fitter Cum Welder is responsible for precision fit-up and performing MIG/TIG welding to produce strong, accurate welds that meet production and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Fit-Up & Preparation
Read and interpret technical drawings and weld symbols. Perform layout, part marking, and joint preparation before welding. Use measuring tools (tape, square, caliper) to verify alignment and dimensions.Welding
Perform MIG (GMAW) and/or TIG (GTAW) welding on steel, stainless steel, or aluminum. Tack-weld parts to hold alignment before full welds. Use proper welding sequence to avoid distortion.Quality & Rework
Visually inspect welds and perform self-checks before passing for QA inspection. Repair welding defects such as porosity, undercut, and misalignment.Workplace Safety & 5S
Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE. Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas.Teamwork & Reporting
Support other welders, machinists, or fitters when required. Record completed work and report material shortages or equipment issues.Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
