Job Description

Welding & Fabrication:

Perform various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, SMAW, FCAW) on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum used in shipbuilding, ship repairs, and offshore platforms.

Structural Repairs:

Carry out welding and fitting for structural modifications, hull repairs, piping systems, tanks, and marine components.

Surface Preparation:

Clean and prepare metal surfaces for welding by grinding, cutting, and shaping materials as needed.

Blueprint Reading:

Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to understand job specifications.

Equipment Maintenance:

Maintain welding equipment, tools, and consumables in good working condition.

Requirements:

Certificate or Diploma in Welding, Marine Technology, or a related trade. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and weld maps. Basic understanding of ship structure and marine materials. Good physical condition and ability to work in tight spaces or at heights. Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or offshore as required.

Pay: RM1,453.33 - RM2,922.89 per month
