Perform
MIG (GMAW)
welding for production and structural components
Read and interpret
welding symbols, drawings, and WPS
Set up welding machines, select correct parameters (current, voltage, wire feed, gas flow)
Ensure strong, clean, and defect-free welds according to specifications
2. Material Handling & Preparation
Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, beveling, and cleaning surfaces
Identify different metal types and select appropriate filler materials
Ensure proper joint fit-up and alignment before welding
3. Quality & Inspection
Conduct
visual inspections
on completed welds
Ensure welds meet
quality standards, tolerances, and acceptance criteria
Rectify welding defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut, or distortion
Follow ISO / ASME / AWS standards where applicable
Skills & Experience (Typical Recruiter Expectations)
Proven experience in
TIG and MIG welding
Ability to weld in various positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead)
Welding certification is an advantage
Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
