Core responsibilities

Reading and interpreting blueprints:

Understanding technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to plan and execute welding tasks.

Preparing materials:

Cleaning, grinding, and preparing metal surfaces for welding.

Welding components:

Using various manual or semi-automatic welding techniques to fuse metal parts together.

Quality control:

Inspecting completed welds for flaws and ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards.

Equipment maintenance:

Maintaining welding equipment, keeping it in good working order, and ensuring all tools are functioning properly.

Safety compliance:

Following all safety procedures and guidelines, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Record keeping:

Maintaining accurate records of welding activities, materials used, and any quality issues.

Collaboration:

Working with other team members, such as engineers and designers, to ensure projects are completed successfully.

Required skills and qualifications

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Proficiency in various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, stick welding). Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity. Mechanical knowledge and understanding of metal fabrication processes. Physical stamina to perform tasks that may involve standing for long periods and lifting heavy materials. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Good hand-eye coordination. Ability to follow instructions and communicate with co-workers. Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication.

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,200.00 per month
