Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical Installation & Maintenance

Perform installation, wiring, testing, and commissioning of LV electrical systems in compliance with ST regulations. Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of switchboards, distribution boards, power outlets, lighting, cabling, and other electrical components. Troubleshoot electrical faults, perform repairs, and restore system functionality within minimal downtime.

2. Compliance & Safety

Ensure all electrical works comply with

Electricity Supply Act 1990

,

IEE Wiring Regulations

, and Suruhanjaya Tenaga requirements. Maintain proper lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) and safety procedures when handling live or hazardous systems. Conduct inspections of electrical installations and report non-compliances or hazards.

3. Facilities Support

Support daily building operations by ensuring uninterrupted electrical supply. Assist in energy efficiency initiatives and electrical system upgrades. Provide technical support for refurbishment, renovation, or expansion projects.

4. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate maintenance records and update CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or logbooks. Prepare reports on faults, maintenance activities, and energy usage where required. Assist in maintaining inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables.

5. Teamwork & Coordination

Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and M&E technicians for integrated facilities support. Supervise contractors and vendors carrying out electrical works on-site. Liaise with utility providers and authorities (e.g., TNB, ST) for inspections, meter readings, and compliance audits.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
