Key Responsibilities

Oversee the design and construction management of new build, expansion, and renovation projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international standards. Manage the full lifecycle of factory infrastructure including buildings, equipment, electrical systems, piping, and wastewater treatment systems to ensure safe and efficient operation. Optimize energy usage (water, electricity, gas) and drive cost-saving and energy-saving initiatives. Supervise the compliance and performance of environmental systems (e.g., exhaust gas and wastewater treatment) according to Malaysian and international environmental standards. Manage external contractors, suppliers, and service providers, controlling procurement costs while ensuring quality of service. Ensure the plant complies with Malaysia's Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), environmental laws (e.g., Environmental Quality Act), building regulations, and ISO standards. Lead plant safety audits and risk assessments, establish emergency response plans, and conduct regular drills. Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related fields. 8-10 years of facilities management experience in manufacturing, including at least 3 years in team management. Familiar with Malaysian infrastructure regulations (e.g., CIDB standards), environmental requirements, and fire safety codes. Experience in new factory setup or major plant renovation projects, with strong knowledge of tender, construction, and commissioning processes. Fluent in English; proficiency in Malay and Mandarin is an added advantage.
