Responsibilities/Expectations:

The primary scope of this position is to sustain and improve high-end Microcontroller & Microprocessor Devices. Responsibilities would include but not limited to the following:

• Take ownership of assigned devices and manage costs, quality and related technical aspects. Drive gross margin improvements, cost reduction enhancement projects and quality improvements.
• Optimize test program including Final Test (FT) & Wafer Test (WT) programs
• Work with wafer fabrication device engineering to address process-related defects
• Work with application & designer engineering on customer application failure and with Quality Engineering towards issue resolution with 8D response.
• Work with factory engineering to resolve product manufacturing issue, BOM setups, product flow definitions and devise appropriate evaluation and reliability assessment plan for maverick materials disposition
• Formulate experiments and work with any combination of Fabrication, Assembly and/or Final Test Engineers to achieve Yield and quality improvements
• Perform device characterization and evaluation for above and other continuous improvement activities.
• Use state of art statistical analysis tools to drill down the root cause of product failure and identify resolution for process or program improvement.
• Work with designers and module owners to improve the test coverage or optimize the test methodology to improve both the product cost and quality.
• Perform investigation and analysis on burn-in related issues; identify area of opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and/or optimize burn-in code to address yield issue at this process step.
• If assigned to work on NPI, work with design, test and wafer fab device engineering to validate, debug, qualify and characterize newly designed leading edge microcontroller devices from 1st silicon and support qualification to volume production ramp.

• Master\'s/Bachelor\'s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Applied Physics.
