Job Description


  • Education: Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting / Finance, equipped with Professional Qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, CPA and etc.) or a related field.
  • Working Experience: At least 5 year(s), priority given to candidate who worked in audit firm before.
  • Solid finance/accounting experience from Travel Industry and proficiency in TAS system will be an added value.
  • Strong knowledge in IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Computer literate (Required skill(s): MS Office is compulsory, especially Excel, Access & PowerPoint).
  • Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, English, especially possess good oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Responsible, integrity, independent, good team player, good sense of urgency, command the respect of senior management, good time management, and excel in meeting tight reporting deadlines.
  • Understanding of data privacy standards; deep understanding of business principles & practices.
  • Superior attention to detail; organisational skills; planning skills; research skills; analytical skills; critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities
  • Maintaining full set of accounting records of the company in accordance with the relevant standards and statutory requirements.
  • Ensuring the completion of the General Ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliations and production of the P&L statements.
  • Oversee the general accounting operation, including leading the month end closing process to ensure IT is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • To prepare and monitor financial activities (AR & AP) of the company.
  • Fixed Assets & Inventories (If any such as tickets, gadgets, promo items).
  • Other Accounts and ALL schedules (sub - ledgers) for ALL Accounts.
  • Prepare & Check Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable & Plan Cash Flow.
  • Bank reconciliation - Daily / Monthly.
  • Daily / weekly reporting of Cash & bank balance summary.
  • Online Banking system and payment getaway operation.
  • Preparation & submission of Monthly Management / Financial Reports.
  • In charge of month - End closing & reporting Deadline is Every 10th of Month.
  • Monthly Variance analysis report - Actual vs Last year - Every 10th of the Month.
  • Forecast & review financial performance of the business activities.
  • Variance Analysis - Actual vs Plan - Every 10th of the Following Month.
  • Liaising with external parties such as tax agents, auditors, bankers, corporate secretary and related authorities.
  • Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.
  • Annual Planning - Strong Analytical skills in forecasting and budgeting.
  • Prepare financial reports corresponding to schedules for the audit.
  • Assist to formulate and implement internal controls, policies & procedures.
  • Coordinate with a tax agent for the company tax preparation & report submission to the Government-based on local Tax Law.
  • Ensure Inter-company Balances & sub ledgers are reconciles & confirmed - Monthly.
  • To undertake any ad-hoc assignments and duties as and when requested by the Founder & Management.
