Job Summary
We are hiring a capable and detail-driven Assistant Accounts Manager to support the finance leadership team. This role oversees daily financial operations, manages reporting, and ensures compliance and internal control for a growing F&B business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Financial Oversight
Supervise full sets of accounts and reconciliations for all outlets
Monitor outlet sales reports, POS data, and petty cash handling
Review supplier documentation and approve payment processes
2. Month-End Closing & Reporting
Lead month-end journal entries, reconciliations, and internal reporting
Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow analysis
3. Costing & Inventory Support
Track and review cost of goods sold (COGS)
Coordinate with outlets on inventory accuracy and stocktaking
Identify cost-reduction opportunities and operational inefficiencies
4. Compliance & Audit
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with SST and tax regulations
Assist in statutory reporting and external audit coordination
5. Team & Process Management
Supervise junior team members and support skills development
Improve internal controls and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Collaborate with HR and Operations on finance-related tasks
Requirements
Degree in Accounting/Finance (ACCA/MIA/CIMA is a plus)
3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the F&B sector
Strong knowledge of SST, payroll, and Malaysian reporting standards
Leadership skills and ability to manage cross-functional coordination
Proficient in accounting systems and Excel (e.g., Quickbooks, AutoCount, SQL)
Strong understanding of Malaysian tax and financial reporting standards
Languages: English/Bahasa (required), Mandarin (preferred)
