We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining our financial integrity and supporting our accounting functions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to develop their skills in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Transactions:
Accurately process and manage daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, invoices, and expenses, ensuring all records are kept up-to-date.
Reporting & Reconciliation:
Assist in the preparation of timely monthly financial reports and statements. Perform bank reconciliations and support period-end closing activities.
Compliance & Audit:
Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and ensuring all practices comply with financial regulations and standards.
Ad-hoc Projects:
Proactively undertake various projects and ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the management team, demonstrating flexibility and a problem-solving mindset.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Possess a Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Candidates with relevant work experience in the retail industry are also encouraged to apply.
Familiarity with SQL Accounting Software is a significant advantage.
Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, managing your own time effectively.
Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
