to oversee the full spectrum of accounting and auditing functions for our two restaurants and one food stall based in Kuala Lumpur. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and business performance monitoring. You will be working closely with the owners and operations team to provide financial insights and maintain a healthy financial ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:Accounting & Bookkeeping
Handle day-to-day accounting operations for all 3 outlets (sales, purchases, petty cash, etc.).
Maintain accurate and timely bookkeeping in accounting software (e.g., SQL, Xero, QuickBooks, etc.).
Manage monthly bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
Prepare and submit monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Audit & Compliance
Conduct internal audits of all outlets to ensure adherence to accounting procedures and internal controls.
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (SST, withholding tax, etc.).
Liaise with external auditors and tax agents for annual audit and tax filing.
Payroll & HR Support
Prepare monthly payroll, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and PCB submissions.
Maintain employee records related to salaries, allowances, and claims.
Handle reimbursements and staff advances with proper documentation.
Inventory & Cost Control Support
Assist in monthly stock count and variance reporting.
Monitor cost of goods sold (COGS) and food cost margins.
Reconcile supplier invoices against purchase orders and delivery notes.
Reporting & Advisory
Provide regular financial reports and business performance analysis to management.
Advise on budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures.
Highlight any financial risks, leakages, or irregularities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
At least 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in F&B or retail.
Familiar with Malaysian accounting standards and tax regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (SQL, Xero, or similar).
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and handle multiple entities/outlets.
Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
