Job Description

The role requires you to be in charge of financial reporting, management accounting, budgeting, costing and forecasting. The role is reporting to the Financial Controller.

This role would require you to:

• Lead and mentor a team of finance staff by providing on-the-job training to optimise team performance.
• Develop and enhance the internal control system of the company to ensure effective control measures.
• Prepare and submit timely monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports, management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and any other required ad-hoc reports.
• Support management decision-making by providing relevant analysis and data for informed and value-added decisions.
• Coordinate the implementation of accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with management requirements, statutory bodies, external auditors, and internal auditors.
• Prepare and submit financial reports and other returns in accordance with accounting standards, tax regulations, the Companies Act, and relevant laws.
• Assist in costing analysis, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and evaluating the company\'s performance against business plans.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management related to job responsibilities.

A successful candidate would be required to possess the following:

• At least a university degree in accounting or business administration, or Chartered, Certified or Certified Professional Accountant is accepted.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the field of Finance and Accounting
• Preferably one with previous Manufacturing/Industrial experience
• Previous external audit experience would be an added advantage
• Strong fundamental accounting knowledge and proficiency in MS Office particularly in Excel.
• Detailed-oriented, independent, a good team player, and able to handle tight deadlines
