Overview
rhi are supporting our client to find a proven Accountant Statutory Reporting for preparation of statutory accounting, director's briefs, audit files, tax packs for our global oil and gas client based in Kuala Lumpur.
We are seeking candidates that are either immediate or on a short notice period only
Duration: 3- & 6-month contracts
Headcount: 2
Start: January 2026
Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts, director's briefs, audit files, tax packs, and other essential documentation for a portfolio of entities, ensuring adherence to relevant policies and procedures.
• Support the accurate and timely delivery of statutory accounts and tax analysis, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to meet statutory reporting and tax compliance obligations in respective countries.
• Monitor open and overdue items, manage reconciliations of relevant reports and systems, and communicate updates to appropriate staff, ensuring discrepancies are investigated and resolved.
• Implement best practices and proactively identify, propose, and execute continuous improvement opportunities within the team. Support transformation activities for financial reporting and tax compliance.

Qualifications

• Shared service centre experience - Large company
• JDE system experience
• 3yrs specific audit experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field - Must have
• Recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA) - Ideal
• Minimum of 3 years of audit experience is highly sought
