Our client is a group of reputable companies involved in diverse businesses, providing well known brands in general insurance, financial services and information technologies. Their corporate head office is located at Kuala Lumpur city centre. Currently they are actively seeking to appoint accounting qualified candidates to assume the role of Accounts Executive.
Job scope & responsibilities
The position is permanent full time role where you will be reporting to Finance Manager within the finance and accounting team.
As Accounts Executive, you will be involved in the daily operations and activities of the Accounting Department, which will include processing of invoices, Purchase orders, Delivery orders and monthly payments.
Duties:
\xc2\xb7Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
\xc2\xb7Manage full set of accounts.
\xc2\xb7Prepare and ensure timely reporting of monthly management reports and audit schedule.
\xc2\xb7Prepare monthly aging receivable reports.
\xc2\xb7Process journal entries and issue payment vouchers.
\xc2\xb7Process claims debits/credit notes and various technical statement of accounts for submission.
\xc2\xb7Bank reconciliations.
\xc2\xb7Maintain proper filing and accounting records.
The Candidate
Candidate must possess a Bachelor degree in Accountancy or professional qualification ACCA/CIMA.
Knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles.
Similar experience in accounting role within insurance business would be advantageous.
Two-three years of relevant work experience in audit and manage full set of accounts.
Experience working within the insurance/financial services industry.
Proficient with ability to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken and Mandarin
Familiar and proficient in UBS Accounting system and MS Word and Excel.
