Job Specification
  • Managing accounting records, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations, analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditure, forecasting revenue, coordinating auditing processes, and ensuring accuracy of financial information.
  • Aid the organization in maintaining positive revenue and financial growth, formulating sound financial strategies, implementing proper internal controls, achieving organizational targets, and developing financial plans that support organizational strategy.
Responsibilities
  • To undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly financial statements.
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Coordinate and to ensure all financial and accounting reports comply with Malaysian General Accepted Accounting principles including relevant tax authorities, central bank regulations and etc.
  • Responsible for coordinating with company secretary, auditor, tax consultant, lawyer and banker for all finance matters in the Company.
  • Manage a strong and sound budgetary control of cash flow to ensure the Company stays ahead of its financial position and ensure success and profitability of the Company.
  • To train, develop, provide guidance and motivate subordinates in all financial activities in the Company.
  • Work closely with top management to share reports & analysis findings.
  • To perform any other tasks as and when required by the Management from time to time as necessary.
Requirements:
  • At least Advanced Degree in Accounting with ten (10) years of experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures of retail operations.
  • People management and good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge in Excel, Words, Power Point and SQL Accounting system.
