Job Summary

UCSI Schools is seeking a dedicated and experienced

Accounts Teacher

to teach secondary students at our Subang Jaya Campus. The ideal candidate will be passionate about accounting education, capable of delivering high-quality lessons aligned with the KSSM syllabus, and committed to nurturing students' financial literacy and analytical skills to support academic excellence and real-world application.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching and Learning

Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in

Principles of Accounting

for secondary students, in accordance with the

KSSM syllabus

. Develop comprehensive lesson plans, assignments, and assessments aligned with curriculum objectives. Provide clear and structured instruction in accounting concepts and principles, ensuring students understand both theoretical foundations and practical applications. Regularly assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and tailor support to individual learning needs.

Curriculum Development and Enhancement

Design and refine instructional materials and activities to promote deep understanding and

Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)

in accounting. Integrate modern teaching methodologies and

digital tools

to improve student engagement and learning outcomes. Prepare students thoroughly for national examinations such as

SPM

, including mastery of financial statements, ledgers, double-entry bookkeeping, and other core topics.

Student Support and Development

Identify students requiring additional academic support and provide differentiated instruction or interventions as necessary. Foster the development of

critical thinking, financial literacy, and problem-solving

skills, aligned with the objectives of the KSSM curriculum. Encourage a growth mindset and positive learning attitude among students.

Collaboration and Professional Engagement

Collaborate with peers and academic teams to ensure curriculum coherence and effective teaching strategies across subjects and levels. Participate actively in

school events

, co-curricular activities, parent-teacher conferences, and relevant administrative responsibilities. Stay informed and updated on

KSSM curriculum developments

, accounting education trends, and best practices through ongoing professional development.

Classroom and Resource Management

Maintain a well-organized, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning. Utilize educational resources effectively, including

accounting software, calculators, templates

, and

digital learning platforms

.

RequirementsEducation

Bachelor's degree in

Accounting, Finance, Education

, or a related field. A recognized

teaching qualification

(e.g., Diploma in Education, PGCE) is preferred.

Experience

Proven experience teaching

Principles of Accounting

at the secondary school level. In-depth knowledge of the

KSSM syllabus

and

SPM assessment

requirements in Accounting.

Skills

Strong subject-matter expertise in Accounting. Excellent

classroom management

, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students to excel in accounting. Competency in using

technology and digital tools

for teaching and learning.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,600.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
