Coordinate and direct administrative support functions for an office or department. Implement policies and procedures for production of documents, work flow, filing, ordering of supplies, records maintenance, and other clerical services. Organizes office operations such as workspace assignment and layout. May assist in decision process for hiring, terminating, promoting, or evaluating office personnel. May monitor budget, accounting, or time records.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with employment-related laws and regulations.
Manage actions and proceedings brought against JM arising in connection with employment, benefits and workers compensation issues, including preparation of responses to charges and management of outside counsel.
Maintain all personnel files, drug and alcohol screening and background investigation results, and other personnel records, and ensure JM is in compliance with all laws and regulations and demonstrates "best practices" in regard to personnel information management.
Provide leadership in effective conflict resolution for all personnel.
Analyze benefits options and cost alternatives for providing employee benefits, recommend benefits program modifications and implement approved benefits modifications.
Work with senior management to craft consistent, equitable and competitive compensation and incentives.
Develop and implement human resources programs and policies.
Serve as a resource for team leaders in handling employee issues and assist them in counseling employees, conducting evaluations, staff training, problem-solving and consensus-building.
Serve as a resource for all team members by being available and accessible to discuss all human resources related issues.
Oversee the Organizational Development & Training function and develop employee training programs.
Any other reasonable duties that may be assigned by COO and Executive Director from time to time.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years relevant experiences as HR practitioner.
Good knowledge and well-versed in Employment Law and regulations.
Solid leadership quality with dynamic personality and abilities to motivate all levels of staff.
