About the role

As an Admin (Planning Support), you will play a key role in supporting smooth and efficient manufacturing operations through accurate planning, coordination, and administrative control. This role works closely with production, sales, procurement, and maintenance teams to ensure production schedules, inventory levels, and reporting are well managed and aligned with operational needs.

This position is suitable for candidates with strong administrative, coordination, and analytical skills who are comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling Support: Assist in preparing, updating, and maintaining production schedules based on customer demand, production capacity, and inventory availability. Support schedule adjustments when priorities or conditions change. Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with sales, procurement, production, and maintenance teams to ensure materials, components, and production resources are available according to schedule. Inventory & Resource Administration: Monitor inventory data and production materials, flagging shortages or excess stock. Support procurement follow-ups related to material availability and delivery timelines. Process Monitoring & Follow-Up: Track daily production progress, identify delays or issues, and escalate matters to relevant teams for timely resolution. Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate production, inventory, and planning reports. Ensure proper documentation is updated in ERP/MRP systems and aligned with company policies and quality standards. Continuous Improvement Support: Assist in process improvement initiatives, data analysis, and administrative support for operational efficiency, contingency planning, and production optimization.

Requirements

Diploma or bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Production Management, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 1 year of experience in administrative, production planning support, supply chain, or manufacturing-related roles. Fluent in Mandarin (spoken & written) as this role requires frequent coordination with China-based counterparts. Basic communication skills in English or Malay are an added advantage. Familiar with production planning processes, inventory tracking, and ERP/MRP systems. Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple administrative and coordination tasks. Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing priorities. Knowledge of Lean practices or manufacturing quality/safety standards is a plus.
