Act as a central point of contact for the team on immigration issues
Hold one-on-one and group sessions with team members to explain work permit process
Work with each team member to prepare and submit documents in a timely fashion
Follow up to ensure that applications are processed and permits received
Manage passports for team members, including working with offshore team to manage delivery of passports
Provide updates to team leadership on the status of permit applications and other immigration issues
Support the team as required with other, non-immigration related administrative duties
Requirements:
Associate Degree in Business
Work experience in administration/small project management is required. Minimum of 2 years in the workforce
Work experience involving the processing of work permits/managing immigration processes in Guyana is advantageous
Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a willingness to learn new computer-based skills which may be useful on the job (e.g. SharePoint, Tableau)
Quickly learn Company practices, general policies, and legal compliance
Good communication skills: ability to write professional memos
Handle with complete discretion confidential and sensitive information
Ability to work independently
Strong attention to detail and well organized
Strong interpersonal skills to interact with employees, peers, and management
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and flexibility to deal with several tasks simultaneously, ability to distinguish priorities
Motivated to pursue opportunities to enhance the team\xe2\x80\x99s management of immigration and other processes through the implementation of streamlined IT solutions and other creative means
