Drawing on a strong base of professional excellence, we aspire to be best-in-class at achieving integrated outcomes through effective engagement and communication with external and internal stakeholders.Where you fit in:The Advisor Communications (Comms) & Brand Relations will report to Head of Downstream (DS) CR Malaysia. This is an important role working closely to support the Corporate Relations LT in Malaysia as well as other internal and external stakeholders. The Advisor Comms & Brand Relations is expected to provide sound expertise and delivering high quality fit for purpose integrated CR initiatives for Shells activities in Malaysia.Whats the role:This role is an important part of our Corporate Relations team, particularly to DS CR Malaysia, offering deep expertise and delivering high quality fit for purpose integrated Corporate Relations and also, communications and brand relations strategy for DS business, which enable business outcomes and maintain social license to operate for Shell in Malaysia.

• Report to and support Head of Downstream (DS) CR Malaysia in the development and execution of integrated CR agenda and DS external communications, brand and media relations, and Social Investment projects and planning;

• Provide internal and external communications support to Shell leaders across Downstream in Malaysia

• Support DS businesses in country to develop and implement communications and brand relations initiatives across Shell DS in Malaysia;

• Support to develop and implement related activities on brand, social media, community and events across Shell in Malaysia;

• Support Head of Downstream in managing stakeholder relations and issues management

• Managing the incident and crisis communications for DS business.

Experience:

• Advanced degree preferred

• Significant experience and through knowledge of communications and brand/media relations, and trends shaping energy industry in Malaysia;

• Excellent communication, writing and oral presentation;

• Proficient in both English and Bahasa Malaysia;

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with integrity and discretion;

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others, balance competing priorities and manage workload; Display constant initiative, flexibility, efficiency, tact and diplomacy;

• Exceptional attention to detail;

• Excellent interpersonal skills: communicate and establish positive relationships;

• Previous government relations and or media relations would be an added value;

• Global communications and brand disclosure knowledge.
