This role ensures production efficiency, quality compliance, cost effectiveness, and alignment with aerospace industry standards. The engineer works closely with design, production, quality, and supply chain teams to bring aerospace hardware from concept to full-scale manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement manufacturing processes for aerospace components, assemblies, and systems.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including process planning, tooling development, and manufacturing readiness reviews.
Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability, cost effectiveness, and compliance with aerospace specifications.
Lead process optimization to improve cycle time, yield, and throughput.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Support configuration control, engineering change management, and documentation updates.
Monitor and maintain process capability using statistical tools (SPC, DOE, FMEA).
Ensure compliance with aerospace standards such as AS9100, NADCAP, and customer-specific requirements.
Coordinate with suppliers on qualification, tooling, and production readiness.
Provide technical support to operations, test, and quality teams during production escalations.
Oversee equipment validation, calibration, and preventive maintenance plans.
Prepare technical reports, process documentation, work instructions, and manufacturing BOMs.
