JOB PURPOSE THE MAIN DUTY OF PLANTATION SUPERVISOR IS TO LEAD THE TEAM OF AGROTECH OPERATORS AND WORK WITH TEAMLEAD TO ENSURE THE DAILY OPERATIONS OF ALGAE PLANTATION ARE PROPERLY MANAGED. HE NEEDS TO VERIFY AND ENSURE THAT PROPER RECORDS OF DAILY OPERATIONS ARE DOCUMENTED. HE WILL ALSO REPRESENTS THE MANAGEMENT IN THE ABSENCE OF OPERATIONS EXECUTIVE. Duty: Duty implies an obligation or moral commitment which an individual is expected to perform. Duty is a binding force which reflects respect or obedience, for the work, rules and superiors. Responsibility: Responsibility refers to the liability, which is assumed or accepted by a person, as a-part of his job role or position. It is an authority which reflects the accountability for the performance or non-performance of something. 1. To check and validate daily records of tasks, inventory, data collection etc. critical to plantation operations. 2. To attend relevant training allocated for skill and self-improvement. 3. To follow up on attendance of agrotech operators and liaise with HR when in need of supports. 4. Provide suggestions or alternative solutions to daily operational issues and people matters. 5. Provide adequate supports to the team in carrying out daily tasks by direct interactions with Teamlead and Agrotech Operators and also with outside contractors when required. 6. Ready to work outside normal work hours and on the weekends in order to resolve outstanding issues that required additional time. 7. Able to work independently on allocated tasks / special assignments. 8. Helps Operations Executive and Management to enforce safety standards on the team. Others - Willing to travel to other locations as part of work scope. - Willing to work outside scope of algae plantation area i.e. downstream proceses and also any other related areas. Qualifications Minimum: Diploma in Agriculture and equivalent (Knowledge in agricultural related area and business will be an added advantage.) Skills - Able to interact with team with ease. - General knowledge in equipment basic principles will be useful. Abilities - Able to work with various type and characters of people / farmers. - Able to work independently and also with team. - Able to go handle multiple issues at the same time. Other characteristics - Willing to learn even from someone younger or at lower rank. - Honest and carry out duties with high integrity. Experience - Have worked in team environment before. - Experience in managing a team of people will be very helpful. Working Conditions - Able to work under extreme weather, hot condition. - Ready and willing to work outside comfort zone or even away from home.
