Senior Network Engineer

Location: Iskandar Puteri, Johor
Salary: RM6,500 - RM7,500 per month
Full-time, On-site

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced

Senior Network Engineer

to join our IT department and ensure the college's network infrastructure runs efficiently, securely, and reliably. This role will be responsible for managing network systems, implementing upgrades, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining the highest standards of network performance.

Key Responsibilities

Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot

Cisco network systems

including WLCs, switches, and access points. Manage

network security

, VPN, firewall rules, and access control using Cisco Identity Services Engine, Palo Alto, and Cisco Firepower. Identify and troubleshoot issues in

LAN/WAN, cabling, and fiber connections

. Perform

periodic configuration backups

and apply security patches. Maintain proper

documentation, SOPs, and change records

. Support network-related

projects, installations, and vendor coordination

. Provide

technical support

to ensure smooth IT operations across the campus.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in

Network Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering

, or related field. Minimum

5 years of experience

in network engineering or IT infrastructure management. Strong technical expertise in

Cisco and Palo Alto systems

. Good troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently. Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken).

CCNA certification

is an added advantage.

Desirable Skills

Knowledge of

VMware, NetApp storage, or Microsoft server technologies

. Experience with

Google Workspace administration

or

Azure AD SSO

. Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and documentation skills.
