Job Title Analyst, Risk & Control Group



What is the opportunity?

As an Analyst, the incumbent is responsible to participate in the end-to-end control management lifecycle of Functions/lines of business for Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) and non-CCAR activities. The incumbent is responsible to participate and assist in risk-based end-to-end testing activities which evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of controls relevant to CCAR and non-CCAR businesses in line with RCG\xe2\x80\x99s control evaluation framework. The incumbent reports to Manager, Risk and Controls Group.

What will you do?

  • Facilitate risk and control profile assessment of Functions/ lines of business, which encompasses independent review and challenge of Functional Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) in line with RCG\xe2\x80\x99s RCSA Standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate understanding of control effectiveness when performing risk-based testing activities that independently evaluate the design and effectiveness of critical end to end processes and controls relevant to CCAR and non-CCAR businesses in accordance with RCG\xe2\x80\x99s Control Evaluation Standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Display strong writing skills using clear and concise English language to effectively articulate results/conclusions of control testing activities to Direct Manager, Functions, Senior Management and other stakeholders.
  • Be a self-starter in acquiring detailed understanding of CCAR and business processes through review of procedures, internal guidelines and regulatory guidance (e.g. SR 15-19, Regulation YY).
  • Create strong partnerships and collaborate effectively within the team and across the organization.
  • Stay abreast of all applicable procedures and Frameworks.
  • Actively participate in ongoing engagement with US based stakeholders to collaborate on assignments and work sets.
  • Contribute to the review of RCG methodologies for risk self-assessment and control testing.
  • Demonstrate strong can-do attitude and able to multi-task to meet deadlines.
  • Proactively look for risk assessment and control evaluation methodology enhancement opportunities
  • Act with strong sense of accountability in owning assigned work set and follow up to completion
What do you need to succeed?

Must-have
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree (in Accounting, Finance, or other Business related field) with minimum 1-2 years work experience in relevant or complimentary capacities.
  • Basic knowledge of risk and control identification and assessment.
  • Basic knowledge of control design and effectiveness testing lifecycle.
  • Proactive in identifying risks and proposing solutions.
  • Flexible and able to follow tight deadlines and multi-task.
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice-to-have
  • Pursuing professional qualification in accounting, risk management or compliance.
