The Analytics Engineer serves as the critical bridge between data engineering and data analysis--transforming raw data into trusted, analytics-ready datasets that empower analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to focus on insights and strategic decision-making. This role owns the "data user experience" by ensuring data is well-structured, reliable, and easy to use.
In this high-visibility position, you will collaborate closely with leaders across Finance, Product, and Operations to ensure timely, accurate, and trusted data is available to drive critical business decisions. You will also play a key role in supporting a centralized BI governance model--maintaining data standards while enabling analysts across the organization to explore and self-serve confidently.
Key Responsibilities
Data Transformation & Modeling:
Design and build analytics-ready datasets using a layered approach (Medallion Architecture - Bronze, Silver, Gold) within Databricks.
Delta Live Tables (DLT):
Develop, manage, and optimize DLT pipelines to deliver reliable and automated data transformations at scale.
Self-Service Enablement:
Deliver curated, governed datasets through BI tools (e.g., Looker, Omni.co) to empower analysts and business stakeholders with trusted data access.
Data Quality Monitoring:
Implement validation and monitoring processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all layers.
Governance & Documentation:
Define and maintain standardized naming conventions, data dictionaries, and semantic models to ensure consistent understanding across teams.
Access & Security:
Implement and enforce dataset access controls that balance data governance with usability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Finance, Product, and Operations leaders--as well as analysts, data scientists, and engineers--to enhance semantic models and accelerate insight generation.
Qualifications
Required:
Advanced proficiency in
