Now Hiring: Senior Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer
We're seeking a skilled Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer to join our client's growing data team in Malaysia. This position welcomes both local professionals and expats with a strong background in modern data platforms, modeling, and analytics enablement.
Key Requirements:
5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics
Advanced SQL skills with expertise in data modeling (star schema, dimensional modeling, semantic layers)
Hands-on experience with Databricks and Delta Live Tables (DLT)
Proven experience building datasets using Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
Proficient with ETL/ELT tools such as dbt, Fivetran, or Airflow
Skilled in BI platforms -- Looker and Omni.co preferred (Power BI or Tableau also acceptable)
Strong understanding of data governance and self-service analytics
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical teams
Familiar with Git and modern data stack practices
Must be able to work per UK Time Zone ( 3pm - 12 am)
