UCT is looking for a talented AP Accountant to join us in Malaysia! This is a multifaceted and challenging position and ideally would suit a qualified accountant looking for experience in a fast-paced multinational environment. The purpose of this role is to correctly, timely, and efficiently execute the Accounts Payable Accountant function for UCTM.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of processing PO invoices, non-PO invoices, freight bills, credit memos, etc. in SAP.
• Following up with vendors and the internal team to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain a large number of AP account balances and fully comply with company policies and procedures.
• Experience with 3-way and 2-way matching of invoices to PO.
• Reconcile vendor statements and work with Purchasing to resolve discrepancies.
• Perform various month and quarter-end close activities as assigned.
• Provide supporting documentation for audits and SOX for relevant areas.
• Provide excellent support and follow-up with all stakeholders, including vendors, management, and colleagues.
• Responsible for preparation of month-end accruals for freight, recurring charges, and invoices received after AP entry cut-off.
• Adhering to accounting standards and regulations. Ability to efficiently work toward and consistently meet deadlines.
• Support special projects, and other ad-hoc duties, as needed.
• Participate in system enhancements and upgrades in collaboration with the Financial Systems team.
• Service-minded, good attitude, Self-motivated, able to work well under pressure and deliver work product on time.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Fluent in English, both verbal and written is essential.
• Familiar with MS Office and ERP accounting systems (SAP experience is highly desirable)
• Strong computer skills, including specific knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Ability to problem-solve, both independently and working as a team
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Requires strong analytical and quantitative skills, strong work ethic, and adaptability.
• Able to effectively communicate with internal and external business partners.

Educational/Certification Requirement:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in accounting or related majors.

Experience Requirement: Work Experience:

• 1-5 years of accounts payable experience, fresh graduates will also be considered.
